MOSCOW - The Vandals had a 9 a.m. wake up call Friday, as they hit the field for day two of fall camp.

Former Lewiston High quarterback Justin Podrabsky was at practice taking in the X's and O's. However, it was Nathan Enderle who performed well Friday.

Running the two minute drill, he hit redshirt freshman Taylor Elmo for a first down. Then on the next play, Enderle stopped the clock with the completion to Maurice Shaw.

The 'D' definitely had their moments, but the offense stole the show, as Justin Veltung came down with a touchdown pass. After playing as a true freshman last year, coach Robb Akey said Veltung is turning heads once again.

"I think Veltung is one of the guys who has a good chance to be a playmaker," said Akey. "There's certainly an opportunity for him to take that slot-receiver job, and he's competing for it real hard with Preston (Davis) on the shelf right now. I like when I see guys that will sprint through an open door. He's doing good things and I hope he's one of the guys we can go to this year."
