Joyce Keefer is a realtor for Century-21/Price Right in Lewiston. When she isn't helping people sell their homes she's busy working for various charities in the community.
One charity Keefer said is close to her heart is the animal shelter.
Her love for animals is what struck an interest in helping the Asotin County Sheriff's Office pay for a training vest to help Deputy Joe Snyder train their patrol dog.
Keefer donated $1,500 to the sheriff's department, which went towards paying for the vest. She said once she found out what the patrol dog is needed for and his importance to the community, she wanted to help.
"I just felt like that was an important thing for me to be a part of this year," said Keefer. "So, instead of spending money in different directions I zeroed in on this one, for lack of a better term, as my pet project."
Keefer got the chance to meet Olly, and she said she was pleasantly surprised to find out that he's a sweetie.
