LEWISTON, ID - A man accused of stabbing someone on Tuesday is now behind bars, thanks to an anonymous tip, and the men and women of the Lewiston Police Department.

J.D. Miller, 34, was arrested in the 1400 block of Seventh Avenue in Lewiston around ten Thursday morning. Miller was wanted in connection with a stabbing in the Clarkston Heights.

Because of the seriousness of the crime, Sergeant Doug Blume said officers took extra precautions by setting up a perimeter around the house.

"The bond was $500,000, it was a felony that occurred in Clarkston," said Sergeant Blume. "So we set up a perimeter, we probably had seven or eight officers there just for our safety."

Blume said police used minor force to get Miller into custody, but overall the arrest went smoothly. Miller has since been extradited to Clarkston and is currently being held in the Asotin County Jail.
