Farming demonstrations of old-time horse and mule days featured at Spring Farming Fair
POMEROY, WA - The annual Spring Farming Fair is making it's way to Pomeroy this weekend and it's an event you won't want to miss.

Starting Saturday at the Garfield County Fairgrounds, antique tractors, engines and farming equipment are on display. Folks from around the Oregon, Washington and Idaho area are also coming to the fairgrounds to showcase old-time horse and mule farming operations, to show us how farmers did it before John Deere made it automatic.

"In the past we've had as much as 80 head of horses and mules here doing the actual old time farming all the way from plowing through seeding," said WA. Agriculture Museum Secretary, David Ruark.

Some of the items on display date back to the late 1800's. If you'd like to attend the Spring Farming Fair you can check it out in Pomeroy this weekend. It's free to get in and starts at 9:00 a.m. on the Garfield County Fairgrounds.
