Man arrested for assaulting wife with 12-guage shotgun

COLFAX, WA - A Rosalia man was arrested over the weekend after he assaulted his wife with a shotgun early Sunday Morning.

According to Whitman County Sheriff's Office Deputy Robert Goldsby, 27-year-old Chellsie Kjack called 911 at about 3:45 Sunday morning from a relative's house in Oakesdale. Deputies said her husband, 28-year-old David Kjack assaulted her at their home on Cache Creek Road in Rosalia, and she suffered multiple non-life threatening injuries. Police said he hit her in the head with a twelve-gauge shotgun.

David Kjack was arrested, taken to the Whitman County Jail, and he was released Monday afternoon.
