LEWISTON, ID - One man is behind bars after pulling out a two foot sword and making threats late Wednesday night.

Lewiston resident Douglas Kane, 60, was arrested early Wednesday morning for aggravated assault after he allegedly waved a sword and threatened people at a bar in Lewiston. Bar patrons held Kane down until police arrived and arrested him.

"He was threatening and swinging it and one of the people thought that he might have had the ability to kill somebody with such a large knife," said LPD Swat Team Captain, Tom Greene. So it was a fairly serious threat."

In addition to aggravated assault, Kane is charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a license.
