MOSCOW, ID - Hundreds of people celebrated the spring season while taking a trip back in time over the weekend.

The 41st annual Renaissance Fair took over Moscow's East City Park on Saturday and Sunday. There was a variety of live music, and traditional maypole dances for adults and children.

"It's a rite of spring," said Renaissance Fair Attendee Andee Chosch-Pittenger. "It's to celebrate the coming of the new season, and to gladden our hearts and give us a chance to get out of the cabins and out of our homes after a long, crazy winter."

The fair is funded by its food and craft vendors. It's run by volunteers, and organizers said they're always looking for new volunteers to plan it. If you're interested in helping out check out their website.
