Pullman police believe Scott Stratton’s death was accidental.
PULLMAN, WA - The Whitman County Coroner is investigating the death of a 51-year-old Pullman man that was found dead in a pond Wednesday morning.

Pullman Police Commander Chris Tennant said Scott Stratton was reported missing Tuesday night, after he took his dog for a walk and never came home.

Emergency responders searched for the man overnight, and found his body in a pond at Pullman's Sunnyside Park around 6:30 Wednesday morning. Tennant said investigators believe the death was accidental, and they don't suspect any foul play. Stratton was a history instructor at Washington State University.
