CLARKSTON, WA - Asotin County's most recognizable landscapes have been captured by local students, and they want you at the community celebration for the unveiling.

Nine students from the Educational Opportunity Center have been working on an art exhibit that will soon replace the 36-by-8 foot mural on the Park Ranger Shop at Beachview Park. The new art will depict three local landscapes... Swallows Nest, the Blue Interstate Bridge, and Chestnut Beach.

"They love it, they're so excited and they like helping to make Clarkston beautiful," said Clarkston School District Art Instructor, Kris Rathbun. "They like working with the community and just making those connections."

The students will reveal their artwork at a community celebration and barbecue. That's on May 17th at 5:00 p.m.at Beachview Park in Clarkston.
