PULLMAN, WA - Washington State University is in the process of building another multi-million dollar, state of the art research facility.

University administrators broke ground on the construction project Wednesday afternoon. The 96-thousand-square-foot "Clean Technology Laboratory Building" will allow scientists, engineers and architects to collaborate and find solutions for global and environmental challenges like water quality and climate change.

"Providing these modern facilities is going to be critical for recruiting the best faculty, and for attracting the brightest students, the majority of which stay in the state after they've graduated," said WSU College of Engineering and Architecture Dean Candis Claiborn.

Construction is scheduled to be finished in October 2015. The Board of Regents approved the construction project last October, and it has a budget of more than $52-million-dollars.
