LEWISTON, ID - School children are "Filling the Bus" for the annual food drive in Lewiston.

Lewiston elementary schools are collecting non-perishable items for the local food bank. On December 20th, all the food that's been collected will be picked up by bus and delivered to the food bank. McSorley Elementary sixth graders have an important message that they want to share with you.

"One of the things we try to teach our students is that it's not just only academics but it's the relationships in the community," said McSorley Principle Kevin Graffis. "And there's an important bond we form with the community and it's important that students understand that they have to give back to the community."

If you want to help the kids 'Fill the Bus' you can drop off non-perishable items at any Lewiston elementary school.
