Logging truck crossed the center line and struck a pick-up.
PECK, ID - One man is dead and two others injured after a head-on collision near Peck, Idaho Tuesday morning.

According to Idaho State troopers, an unloaded log truck driven by Walter Duggar from Lewiston crossed the center line on Highway-12 and struck a pick-up head-on.

Gregory Challinor, 50, of Orofino was driving the pick-up. He died at the scene while his wife and son were taken to Clearwater Valley Hospital in Orofino.

"We should all drive defensively, keep attention to our surrounding, keep attention to the movements of other vehicles," said I.S.P. Captain Lonnie Richardson. "In this particular case the pickup driver did all he could but just couldn't avoid the collision."

Neither drinking nor weather conditions are believed to be factors in the accident which is still being investigated.
