Tuesday’s car collision closed one lane of traffic for over an hour.
LEWISTON, ID - Everyone injured in Tuesday's four-vehicle collision in east Lewiston is still in the hospital Wednesday night.

One lane of traffic was closed for more than an hour after the crash. Idaho State troopers said 79-year-old Donna Hazelbaker, who is listed in fair condition was headed south on Hatwai Bypass Road when she failed to stop at the stop sign on Highway-95. Joanne Stout, 57, was northbound and tried to avoid Hazelbaker's minivan, but couldn't.

"She actually adjusted the wheel input left and couldn't get around the van, struck the van which sent the Ford into a spin, sent her across the median and into the oncoming southbound lane," said Middleton. "And somehow a fourth car was involved in the collision as well."

Erma Germany from Lapwai was driving the third car that got hit. Germany is listed in serious condition. Trooper Middleton said more than likely Hazelbaker will be cited for inattentive driving. Everyone was wearing their seatbelts.
