Food or monetary donations needed to surpass last year’s food drive.
LEWISTON, ID - KLEW News cares about you, and that's why we want to remind you about the the sixth annual "Dump Hunger" event.

It's estimated that thousands of people in this area lack access to food, that's why dumping hunger is a priority for some local businesses. Western States CAT, Wells Fargo and Albertsons have joined together to collect food and raise money for local food banks.
Collecting 450,000 pounds of food is this year's goal.

Each dollar donated lets the food bank purchase five pounds of food," said Corby Hammond. "Which equates to almost three meals per dollar donated. So we're encouraging both food and monetary donations and we just hope the community will give a big turnout and help us make this a record breaking year for dump hunger."

The food drive will end on February 10th.
