LEWISTON, ID - KLEW news cares about you, and that's why we want to remind you that this is the last week for the sixth annual "Dump Hunger" event.

It's estimated that thousands of people in this area lack access to food, that's why dumping hunger is a priority for the Idaho Foodbank.
So far more than one-thousand pounds of food has been raised. However much more is still needed,as February is one of the highest months of food distribution.

"After the holidays there's not a lot of food drives going on and the food drive gives us a great variety and makes that food available so people can actually create more meals," said Idaho Foodbank Branch Manager, Cari Miller.

Western States CAT, Wells Fargo and Albertson's are all collecting food and money in hopes of meeting this years goal of raising 450,000 pounds of food. The food drive ends Monday.
