Police received a burglary in process call from Wawawai Canyon Winery.
PULLMAN, WA - A Pullman man is in Whitman County Jail on a $100,000 bond and awaiting a mental evaluation.

Jedidiah D. Adams, 25, had three run-ins with law enforcement over the weekend. Early Sunday morning Adams was taken into protective custody for obstructing traffic on the SR-270 between Pullman and Moscow by laying in the middle of the highway.

Hours after his release he totaled a truck in a single car rollover accident.

Then, at 3:00 a.m. Monday morning officers received a call from the Wawawai Canyon Winery that a burglary was in progress. The suspect fled before deputies arrived but the winery owner provided a description of Adams.

"It was very crucial for this case," said Whitman County Sheriff Brent Myers. "It was great that the business owner happened to be staying at the residence that night, or at the winery that night because that's what really broke this case wide open."

Once arrested, Adams admitted to breaking into two storage units earlier this month. Adams faces charges of attempted burglary, malicious mischief and vehicle prowl.
