Commissioners said they're in the preliminary stages of getting the ordinance passed. They're still researching details on the possible ordinance. But they want to include local grocery store management in the conversation.
"Prior to the adoption of that ordinance, to get their input how we could make that easier for them to comply with while reducing the opportunity for crime," said Asotin Co.Commissioner, Brian Shinn.
Other counties have created similar ordinances. In Walla Walla County, hard liquor is segregated in grocery stores at this time.
