Dozens of those photos are now on display at WSU's Museum of Fine Art. Warhol is widely known as one of the premiere pop artists of our time, and while he's more known for his paintings and films, he also snapped a picture or two.
"Seeing his own photography is usually something you don't see," said Chris Bruce, WSU Museum of Art Director. "This is sort of like work studies or just stuff he was just a mad consumer of not only popular culture as a pop artist, but of images of any kind."
Bruce says the collection is worth at least a couple-hundred thousand dollars. Now Warhol is credited with coining the phrase "15 minutes of fame."
But the exhibition will be on display a little longer than that. It runs through March 31st.
