Walla Walla Community College could win $1 million award

CLARKSTON, WA - Walla Walla Community College has made it to the final round of the 2013 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence.

This means they are one of ten schools in the nation being reviewed for a $1 million prize fund. The award recognizes community colleges in the nation that show high achievement in four different areas; student learning outcomes, degree and college completion, success in helping students secure jobs after college, and minority and low-income student success.

This is the second straight year that Walla Walla Community College has received a finalist distinction. Awards will be given out next March in Washington DC.
