Over 3,000 students moved into Washington State University's 17 residence halls over the weekend. Moving into a dorm room can be a tough job, but WSU tried to make it fun and easy by creating a festive atmosphere. And more than 300 volunteers were available to help.
“They’ve got it covered, they’re very organized and its taken a little longer than we thought but other than that it's great,” said mother Jennie Lanahan.
“We had a lot of stuff and if we didn't have the bins or any help it would be very, very hard,” said freshmen Kathleen Lanahan.
WSU estimates that by the end of this week, more than 5,000 new and returning students will have moved into the on-campus halls.
