PULLMAN, WA - Pullman police are investigating an assault that occurred on College Hill Sunday evening when a woman was shot in the stomach with a blowdart.

Pullman Police Commander, Chris Tennant said it happened around 9:30 while the victim was walking near the intersection of Colorado and Monroe. Tennant said she was likely shot by someone passing by in a car.

The victim is a 20-year-old Washington State University student, and Tennant said she's doing okay. The blowdart went about a half inch into her stomach, but she didn't need to go to the hospital.
