Autopsy scheduled Tuesday for WSU student found dead
PULLMAN, WA - A Washington State University Student was pronounced dead at Pullman Regional Hospital on Saturday after he was found unconscious in one of the residence halls.

According to WSU police,18-year-old Kenneth Hummel from Lynwood, Washington was found by a fellow student early Saturday morning in the Stephenson South Tower. The student that discovered Hummel called 911 while two other students performed CPR.

"When they got there, our officers took over the CPR," said Assistant Chief of Police Steve Hansen. "Pullman Ambulance then responded and took over care."

Hummel was taken to Pullman Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead. According to WSU officials, Hummel was a freshman at the university but he did not live in the residence hall that his body was found in.

Currently, there is little information on the cause of death, however foul play is not suspected. According to officials, an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
