KENDRICK, ID - The Latah County Sheriff's Office has found the man responsible for stealing more than $1,200 of medication from a pharmacy in Kendrick.
The Red Cross Pharmacy was broken into on February 22, and prescription pills and medication was stolen. An Quad-Cities Drug Task Force officer received a tip that 34-year-old Kasey Hunter may be linked to the burglary.
"They located the suspect, Kasey Hunter, in the Nez Perce County Jail, there on other charges," said Latah County Sheriff's Lieutenant Brannon Jordan. "They interviewed him in that facility, and he confessed to the crime."
Hunter was in the Nez Perce County Jail for a probation violation, and now he's still there awaiting transfer to the Idaho Department of Corrections. He's being charged with burglary, grand theft, and possession of a controlled substance and bail is set at $10,000.
There was another burglary at the Red Cross Pharmacy in January, but officials believe another person committed that crime.
