Rural Alliance High School Art Show present "Meet the Artist" event

COLFAX, WA - Some of Whitman County's most accomplished high school artists presented their work at a "Meet the Artist" event in Colfax, Thursday night.
Students showed off their favorite pieces and explained what inspires them and why art is a positive influence in their lives. We asked a couple of the artists how it felt to talk about their work in front of a room full of people.
"I guess it kind of made me realize I'm actually pretty good at what I do and it's not just for the fun of it," said Tekoa High School Junior Peyton Webber. "I actually can get something out of it."
"It was gut-wrenchingly terrifying," said Oakesdale High School Senior Zack Conklin. "But it's good experience, though."
This event was part of the Rural Alliance High School Art Show. The exhibit will be on display in the Whitman County Library until February fourteenth.
