FBI is not releasing any statements on national background check policy
CLARKSTON, WA - The FBI is turning heads as the agency is refusing to run nationwide background checks for those wanting to run pot shops in Washington State.

This refusal comes even though the FBI just recently completed background checks for the State of Colorado. The Washington State Liquor Control Board is conducting state-wide background checks for potential business owners. But some fear without a nationwide background check, criminals could end up getting their hands on a pot license.

A representative from the FBI said they aren't releasing any statements on the issue. The Department of Justice told the Associated Press it was reviewing its background check policies and hoped to have answers in the near future.
