Natasha N. Hodges charged with murder.
LEWISTON, ID - Natasha Nichole Hodges pleaded not guilty to the charge of first-degree murder last week, stemming from the tragic death of two-year-old Rylee Mingo in August of 2012.

The maximum possible penalty for murder in the first-degree is life imprisonment or the death penalty. However, the Nez Perce County Prosecutor's Office filed a motion stating that the death penalty will not be sought in the case.

Nez Perce County Prosecutor Dan Spickler said the death penalty is reserved for the worst of the worst. Both parties have entered into a discovery phase in the case as they prepare for trial.
