LEWISTON, ID - The Airport Authority Board agreed they're ready to move forward with south side development.

Funding is in this years budget for south side infrastructure in the form of taxi-way developments and possible sewer and water connections. Developing the southern part of the airport would open up the opportunity to build airplane hangers. The board's now looking into getting updated price estimates.

"At least we'll know and have a better idea of what the costs would be," said Airport Treasurer, Pat Nuxoll. "And if it's more than the dollars we have available, it gives us a change to figure out where to get some extra dollars but I think it's time to get started on it."

Airport Manager Robin Turner said the airport already has people on a list who are eager to get settled in when the hangers are built.
