Free summer program ‘Read, Play, Learn’ keeps kids busy
LEWISTON, ID - Since children will be out of school soon, parents may be wondering what their kids can do to stay busy.

The Lewiston City Library and Lewiston Parks and Recreation are offering a free summer program focused on education and staying active. It's called 'Read, Play, Learn' and every Thursday starting June 12th through August 14th library staff will read stories to a group of kids, and then an outdoor activity will be lead by Parks and Rec staff.

"It's fun, active and somewhat of an all inclusive program, because there's a little bit of reading, some physical activity and singing," said Lewiston City Library Director Alexa Eccles. "So, it's a great family activity."

Again, this program begins June 12th and will take place every Thursday at Pioneer Park from 10:30 to 11:30. There's no cost to attend and you don't need to sign up in advance.
