PULLMAN, WA - A group of Pullman High School students won $2,500 for their school by making a video about conserving energy.
The video is called “Watts & Hertz” and as you can see, it’s about a detective who helps find ways to save energy. The students entered the video in Avista’s annual “Every Little Bit Video Contest” and received the grand prize out of more than fifty other entries.
“We went on the website and I saw that I won and I was like just jumping around because I was so happy and I like ran downstairs, and I was like telling my parents and we were all super happy," said “Watts & Hertz” producer Matthew Winchell. "I was really glad.”
The three students involved won new iPads in addition to winning money for new video production equipment at Pullman High. The video is only a couple minutes long and if you’d like to watch it, click here.
