There's nothing like a good kick of adrenaline to start 2014.
CLARKSTON, WA - A group of brave locals of all ages took the annual plunge Wednesday afternoon.

KLEW News takes you to the frigid scene to talk to the Polar Plunge
champions.

Breathe. Shiver. Shake it off. It's the only way to prepare yourself to jump into freezing water.

"We have no common sense," said participants.

Breathe. Shiver. Shake it off. Even if your heart might stop.

"Someone just said it was about 31," said couple.

Breathe. Shiver. Shake it off. And learn from the experts.

"Get out as soon as you can," said Michelle Cone.

"Put a hat on because that'll keep the heat in," said Jeanette Vallandigham.

Breathe. Shiver. Shake it off. THREE. TWO. ONE!

"I couldn't breathe," said girl.

"It was so worth it, I'd do it totally again," said Nate Nielson.

"Polar plunge!" said girl.

Worth the certificate? Well that's debatable. But there's nothing like a good kick of adrenaline to start 2014.

Congrats to all the brave participants!
