Pullman School Board earns name on list of “Boards of Distinction”
PULLMAN, WA - The Pullman School Board is one of only 15 boards across the state to be recognized by the Washington State School Directors' Association for its policies, practices, and goals.

The WSSDA released its yearly list of "Boards of Distinction" this week, and Pullman's School Board is the only one in Eastern Washington that made the cut. Pullman School Board President Susan Weed said the board is made up of five elected and appointed officials, and they all share a passion for learning.

"The School Board couldn't ask for a better group of people," said Weed. "Even though we don't always agree on everything, we work very well together, so that's good."

Weed is currently in Bellevue for the annual School Board Directors Conference, where two of the fifteen school boards will be named "Board of the Year." The WSSDA will chose one large district, and one small district. Pullman is eligible for the small district award.
