Pullman Reg. Hospital receives recognition as exceptional birthplace
PULLMAN, WA - Pullman Regional Hospital ranks as one of the top hospitals in the country to have a baby.

Birthplace at Pullman Regional Hospital recently received the 2014 "Woman's Choice Award" for patient experience in obstetrics. The award came from a research company called "Women-Certified" that surveys women about things like patient satisfaction, clinical excellence, employee responsiveness and cleanliness.

"We have just chosen a long time ago, to up the game," said Pullman Regional Hospital Birthplace Assistant Director Amber Roberts. "Make it an experience that's absolutely exceptional to where people are wowed and they're surprised, and they want to come back."

Birthplace features private birthing suites complete with a whirlpool tub and a full-sized pull out bed. Labor, delivery and postpartum all take place in that same room.

Pullman Regional is one of six hospitals in Washington state to receive this recognition. Spokane's Sacred Heart Medical Center also made the list.
