People will be fined for open burning after May 31st.
ASOTIN, WA - The open burn season for Asotin County is coming to an end.

Starting May 31st, this Saturday, burning outside city limits within Asotin County will not be allowed. Until then, open burning is allowed from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. All fires must be put out by five o'clock and that includes all embers. Burn piles cannot be larger than four feet tall and must be at least 50-feet from any structure or combustible material.

Penalties range from $200 for a first offense to $10,000 if you're caught more than once.
