The Airport Authority Board vote was unanimous for MacLachlan.
LEWISTON, ID - The Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport has a new manager, following a unanimous vote from the board Wednesday evening.

Bruce MacLachlan was voted in to replace current airport Manager Robin Turner. MacLachlan currently serves as the maintenance and operation manager at the South Bend Regional Airport in Indiana. Before that, he worked at Spokane International Airport.

Board Chairman Bill McCann spoke about the hiring process.

"I'm really very proud of the authority and the time they spent on this and the attention to detail, talking with the people and checking with references," said McCann. "All of those things that go into making an informed decision. And we were able to do that."

Three candidates visited Lewiston last week. McCann said MacLachlan was found to be the best choice for both the position,. and the community. Robin Turner will retire next month after 30-years of service.
