LEWISTON, ID - Raising money while giving local parents a chance to let loose this New Year.

For the second year, a local Girl Scout troop is hosting a babysitting event this January to raise funds for their trip to Europe in 2015. They'll babysit kids up to12-years-old. The child care is provided all New Year's Eve long, starting at 7 p.m. on the 31st until 9 a.m. the next morning.

Girl Scout Ambassador Nicole Amundson of troop 2029 said the sleepover event is a way for the troop to practice their training.

"A lot of us have different certifications in CPR," said Amundson. "Some have first aid. A lot of us have babysitting training. And some of them have program aid training which allows us to kind of work with children a little better."

If you're interested in signing up, you need to get signed up by this coming Monday. Fingerprints Children's Center is donating their space for the event. You can find contact information on our Facebook page. Just search KLEW News.
