PULLMAN, WA - The Whitman County Humane Society hosted their annual Mutt Strut at Reaney Park in Pullman on Saturday.

This is the fourth year that the Mutt Strut has taken place with the purpose of raising money to build a no-leash dog park in Pullman. The new dog park is already under construction and it will be located on Old Moscow Road.

"A play area will basically allow you to let your dog off free, interact with other dogs, interact with other people, obviously in a more controlled environment." said Whitman County Humane Society Vice President Susan Wang.

There were plenty of activities for dogs and dog owners at the Mutt Strut, such as a costume contest and obedience competitions. This was the last major fund raising event for the dog park before it opens in the Summer of 2013. If you would like more information on the dog park, visit whitmanpets.org.
