Moscow High School student set up an extremely successful food drive
MOSCOW, ID - A Moscow High School junior took on the challenge of feeding 500 families this Thanksgiving, and not only did she achieve that goal, she surpassed it.

This month Annarose Qualls set up food donation boxes at schools and businesses on the Palouse, and she created a website for people to donate toward the cause. So far, she's gathered more than two-thousand pounds of food and nearly $3,000 in donations.

"I didn't really think we were going to feed 500 families," said Qualls. "I was just kind of happy to do whatever we could. But I mean, it looks like we're going to end up feeding a lot more than 500 families. So that's really neat to see."

Qualls also organized a Thanksgiving dinner for families in need. It will be held at the 1912 Center in Moscow the night before Thanksgiving, and the meal will be served at three different times, 4:00, 5:15 and 6:30p.m. It's open to anyone in need that wants to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

There's still time to donate to Qualls' drive, just head to her website.
