Missing baby found in front yard of Portland home

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police said a missing 4-month-old boy was found in the front yard of a Northeast Portland home Tuesday morning.

The baby was found in the 400 block of Northeast 139th Avenue. Medics took the boy to a hospital. It's unclear who found him. Police did not release additional details.

Officers searched the neighborhood near the Cedar Tree Apartments, located at 239 Southeast 148th Avenue, starting at 2 a.m. after the baby's family reported him missing.

Officers said they contacted the family’s relatives across Portland to determine if the child was taken to another family member’s home.

Police have not released any information about a potential suspect.
