LEWISTON, ID - A Lewiston man has been charged with driving under the influence after a two-car collision Saturday.

Robert Bircher was the driver of a white Yukon that collided with a gray Dodge pickup around 4:45 Saturday afternoon. Lewiston Police charged Bircher with a DUI.

"There was a gray Dodge pickup that was westbound on Bryden Avenue and a white GMC Yukon was pulling out of a driveway, and either didn't see or did not yield to the vehicle on the roadway and they collided in the westbound lane," said LPD Corporal Craig Roberts.

The two vehicles blocked the roadway near the 700-block of Bryden Canyon for roughly 30-minutes Saturday afternoon. Bircher was treated for minor injuries at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center.
