CLARKSTON, WA - Construction crews are back to work in the Clarkston Heights after mammoth bones were discovered.

Bones of what anthropologists believe are of a mammoth were discovered last Thursday. Crews started work on a future business park for the Port of Clarkston but had to stop work. Now, a roughly 300-foot section is closed off for excavation while crews continue their work on the other side of the lot.

The University of Idaho Anthropology Department and students are working on the excavation at the site.
