Driver runs red light that causes chain reaction car crash.
LEWISTON, ID - A three vehicle collision resulted in thousands of dollars of property damage, and closed a busy intersection in Lewiston Tuesday.

According to the Lewiston Police Department, a green Nissan pickup, driven by Rebecca Cable of Clarkston, was traveling on 16th avenue and ran a red light, Cable was then t-boned by a white pickup and ended up going through a fence. The accident caused a chain reaction as the white truck tried to swerve and went head first into a van.

"Anytime we have a t-bone accident or a head on, and so both of them at the same time is even worse," said LPD Corporal Dock White. "So it is a major crash today."

Only minor cuts and bruises were sustained from the accident. Cable was issued a citation for running a red light .
