LEWISTON, ID - Nearly 350 people came together last weekend at Swallows Nest Park to take a stand against a devastating and debilitating disease, multiple sclerosis.

The Inland Northwest Chapter of the National MS Society hosted "Walk MS" in Clarkston early Saturday to raise money and awareness for the fight against the disease. Marketing and Event Manager Kate Scotece said between the four walks taking place over the month of April around the inland northwest they hope to raise $250,000, and with Saturday's turnout in Clarkston, they're on the right track.

"This walk, we come out and it's our rallying point where we come together," said Scotece. "MS stops people from moving and it breaks connections. And so we're out here today showing people that we still have connections and we're still out here moving everyday."

If you missed the event but want to be a virtual walker you can do so and raise money for the foundation through May 18th. Just head to walkms.org for more information.
