LEWISTON, ID - The LCSC Student Organization of Social Workers and the Lance Armstrong Foundation Regent-10 sponsored a one mile walk against cancer.
Anyone was welcome to go to the Mountain Dew Skate Park at 5 o'clock where the walk began, and volunteer Tom Kurdy encouraged everyone to wear their Livestrong Yellow.
"It is now worldwide on October 2nd Livestrong Cancer Support Day," said Kurdy. "And it's to support the people who have cancer, the survivors."
The national foundation asked supporters and survivors to tweet and Facebook about the event Tuesday. For each post, sponsors and donors, pledged to donate $1 to the Lance Armstrong Foundation up to $100,000. The goal was surpassed early Tuesday afternoon.

"Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever"
Lance Armstrong has had more challenges and faced more difficulties, than most people. And with his pending and imminent court case ruling it doesn't look like these adversities will cease soon.
Lance Armstrong is a fighter, a survivor a champion, a inspiration while at the same time he is still a very human hero.
