LEWISTON, ID - A Lewiston official will take a long journey abroad hoping to benefit local businesses.

If the international trip goes successfully, economic development for the Lewis-Clark Valley could soon be on the rise.

"I've got some business travel that we are going to be going to Liberia, Africa for a couple of weeks." said City of Lewiston Mayor Kevin Poole.

Mayor Poole is traveling to Liberia as a project manager with Riedesel Engineering. Poole said the connection was made through Valley Vision in an effort to open up construction projects abroad and generate more revenue for businesses based in Lewiston. Poole will be out of town for two weeks and will share his story with us when he returns.
