$3,000-$4,000 worth of damage caused to fairway.
LEWISTON, ID - A joyride early Wednesday morning has caused a lot of damage to one of our popular landmarks, and police need your help finding out who was behind it.

Sometime in between midnight and 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, a vehicle caused a tremendous amount of damage to the fairway and surrounding area of Lewiston Golf and Country Club's fifth hole.

The vehicle, which police think fit the description of a jeep, small pick-up, or small SUV, entered the golf course off of Foothill Drive through the native grass, whipped several donuts in the fairway and then exited the same place it entered.

The Lewiston Police Department estimates that $3,000 to $4,000 worth of damage was done. If you have any information about this crime, please call LPD at 746-0171.

The Lewiston Golf and Country Club was open normal hours Wednesday as staff members took several hours out of their day to aid in the clean up.
