Members of the executive committee are raising funds to repair the broken and worn windows that have been in place for 107 years. Right now, they've received grants and a small amount of donations.
An Oregon based stained glass specialist took the window apart this weekend to restore the century old windows.
"This is an old building, I'm also on the historical preservation commission and it needs to be protected," said Lewiston Civic Theatre Volunteer, Jacqulyn Haight. "A lot people's lives have gone passed that window."
The windows are now in Portland but they can't bring all the mosaics back until the theatre group raises enough money. Once the windows are restored and repaired, they should be in tact for another century.
