Star Wars storm troopers greet public at Lewiston City Library anniversary
LEWISTON, ID - It was a celebration fit for a king over the weekend, as L-C Valley patrons celebrated the library's one year anniversary.

Star Wars storm-troopers and a bouncy house were some of the activities families enjoyed. Lewiston Library Director Alexa Eccles said the library has seen a lot of growth in the past year.

"It's been an amazing year," said Eccles. "We've had so many new visitors, so many new people that hadn't had library cards. So 75% of the Lewiston community now has a library card, which is amazing!"

On average, 13 to 15-thousand visitors head to the library each month. A history and genealogy section is the newest addition to the library.
