Jury deliberations for Daniel Lazcano’s third trial begins

Jury deliberations for Daniel Lazcano’s third trial begins
SPOKANE, WA - The third trial for a man accused of killing Marcus Schur has come to an end in Spokane County, and now it's up to the jury to decide if Daniel Lazcano is guilty of murder.

According to Defense Attorney Eric Christianson, counsel finished closing arguments Tuesday afternoon, and the jurors were sent into deliberation. Christianson said they will likely reach a verdict by the end of the week.

Lazcano has two trials in Whitman County earlier this year, and both resulted in hung juries. Daniel Lazcano and his brother Frank Lazcano were accused of murdering Schur in Malden in December 2011. Frank Lazcano was found guilty for first degree murder and is currently serving time in state prison.
