LEWISTON, ID - A former lecturer at Lewis-Clark State College, who was on track to receive tenure, filed a lawsuit in federal court against the college.

Leslie Rist claims school officials discriminated against her due to her gender and because she reported sexual harassment complaints from students. In 2011, Rist filed the lawsuit with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on grounds of sex discrimination and retaliation by LCSC. The EEOC found reasonable cause that LCSC did indeed break the law. Now Rist has filed the lawsuit in Idaho's U.S. District Court. She's seeking a half-million dollars in damages and wants her job back. LCSC has not yet responded to the allegations.
