LEWISTON, ID - A former Lewiston Police Department employee who claims she was sexually harassed and forced to resign does not have a case for a lawsuit according to a local judge.

Second District Judge Carl B. Kerrick dismissed the lawsuit filed against the City of Lewiston by former Communications Specialist, Melissa Taylor. Taylor claims she was sexually harassed by Officer Rick Fuentes at a Halloween party. The same party where former detective Andrea Thueson said Fuentes harassed her.

In February of 2011, Fuentes fought his decertification and won. Thueson was fired. Taylor's attempt to file a lawsuit against the city also fell flat. Kerrick said she filed a report more than six months after the incident, which is legally too late.

Taylor was reprimanded by the police department for her high level of intoxication at the party. According to court documents she resigned shortly after for personal reasons.
